From March 21 to March 22, the NSFC Yunnan joint fund project kick-off meeting on the formation and evolution of plant diversity in Hengduanshan alpine region and its response to environmental change was held in the Darwin conference room of Banna botanical garden. A total of 14 participants from Kunming Institute of Botany and Nanchang University participated in the kick-off meeting.
At the kick-off meeting, the project leader, researcher Xing Yaowu, made a report on the overall overview of the project, task management and allocation, and the research ideas of the work undertaken by Banna park; Then, the main participants of Banna botanical garden, Kunming Institute of Botany and Nanchang University made research plan reports on their part of the work. After the report, the members of the project team discussed the plan implementation, time arrangement, technical route, personnel allocation, quantitative indicators and other specific contents of the project, as well as the problems and difficulties that may be encountered in the implementation of the project.
Through the holding of the kick-off meeting, the ideas were clarified and the doubts were cleared, which laid a solid first step for the smooth implementation of the project and the achievement of the established goals.
